    Cosmic Whale: A Reflection

I started this painting in the spring of 2023. That was about two years after my brother died, in February of 2021. I was still very much in the thick of grief and struggling with my mental health. At the time, I was painting constantly, exploring new mediums, learning, and trying to reconnect with my…

What is Heart & Hues?

This is a personal blog that serves as a place for me to write about my life as a neurodivergent artist tackling grief, trauma, and personal growth. Creating art has been the single most important coping mechanism for me as I’ve dealt with the intense grief of losing a loved one, discovering I have a dissociative disorder, and navigating the inevitable peaks and valleys of life. You’ll find many of my personal sketches and art on this site paired along with my musings and prose.
